The History department aims above all to make children love the subject of History. We want the children to be excited at the prospect of having a History lesson as they are enabled and encouraged through our help and direction to learn and understand more about the world they live in.
Cumnor aims to develop pupils into being able thinkers, debaters and writers on the subject of History. We want the children to develop their historical skills and understanding of how we examine the past.
We want the children to look back on their time at Cumnor and to reflect on their experience in History as being a positive and challenging time where they learnt a great deal and improved enormously as historians.
